Books instead of cards would be a great idea except you would need a hard copy and a way to ensure you can fulfill to immediate gratification aspect of it. Or figure out a way to market the idea using e-books or getting people to plan ahead.

Maybe a ten for one deal with the promise of always having an amazing gift for friends and family that is better than a card?
