You truly can’t know what the future holds either. When I was in my late 20s, I got pregnant shortly after finishing the first draft of my first novel. As a single mom, I moved from New Jersey to be closer to friends and family who would support me. When my daughter was one, I met my now fiancee and we bought our house four years later. I’m still writing, and I don’t have a hellish commute, and I’m so happy with my life and career. Not that I recommend the single mom life to anyone, just be happy with where you are and okay with wherever the future takes you. Life is an adventure!
